Senior Java Developer

Our client, a leading organization in the financial services industry, is seeking a Specialty Software Engineer 4 - Contingent to join their team. As a Specialty Software Engineer 4 - Contingent, you will be part of the Specialty Software Engineering department supporting modernization initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate adaptability, strong technical expertise, and collaborative spirit, which will align successfully in the organization.

What's the Job?

• Consult on complex initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning for Specialty Software Engineering.
• Review and analyze complex multi-faceted, larger scale, or longer-term challenges requiring in-depth evaluation of multiple factors.
• Contribute to the resolution of complex situations, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
• Collaborate strategically with client personnel to deliver innovative solutions.
• Engage in hands-on development, focusing on modernization efforts involving moving files to databases and managing backend processes.

What's Needed?

• 5+ years of experience in Specialty Software Engineering or equivalent demonstrated through work, training, or education.
• Proficiency in Java backend development with at least 6 years of experience.
• Experience with Spring Boot and cloud technologies (Azure or other cloud platforms).
• Knowledge of Kafka, JMS, and database management.
• Ability to work hands-on as a full member of a development team, with experience in SQL databases.
