Registered Nurse – OR

This Registered Nurse – OR position provides specialized nursing care to surgical patients in the operating room environment. The role involves assessing patient needs, implementing care plans, and collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to ensure safe and effective surgical procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients' physical, psychological, social, and cultural needs prior to surgery.
• Formulate and initiate individualized care and discharge plans based on comprehensive assessments and patient input.
• Implement nursing interventions in accordance with physician orders, regulatory standards, and institutional policies.
• Evaluate patient responses to care, adjusting plans as necessary to optimize outcomes.
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and timely in the medical record.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure seamless perioperative care and promote patient safety.

Qualifications:

• Hold an Associate's Degree or Diploma in Nursing; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Possess a current, valid RN license in the practicing state or equivalent licensure.
• Maintain BLS and ACLS certifications; PALS certification within 90 days if applicable.
• Have at least one year of RN experience in the operating room or perioperative setting.
• Be willing to participate in advanced perioperative training programs if new to OR nursing.
