Summary Oversee day-to-day operations across the USA for our Special Projects Team including trucks, personnel, and logistics. This role provides leadership to the Special Projects Drivers and Technicians ensuring safe and efficient service delivery, maximum equipment uptime, and strong customer service. The position champions safety initiatives and operational compliance, while supporting growth across the USA as we endeavor into other markets and specialty jobs. This role reports directly to the Senior Manager - Special Projects. Schedule This position holds normal business hours; always ready to support 24‑hour operations Travel to projects across the USA up to 50% Regularly works in a remote environment Duties & Responsibilities Oversee drivers and occasionally technicians, trucking operations, maintenance, KPI's and record keeping. Coordinate with personnel in the field across many different divisions and regions within the company. Support Special Projects and other hubs as needed: driver scheduling, resource allocation, and breakdown mitigation controls. Serve as liaison between Central Dispatch and Operations to ensure safe and efficient load execution. Champion all safety initiatives, including inspections, evaluations, meetings, compliance audits, and corrective actions. Enforce adherence to DOT regulations, OSHA guidelines, and company Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's). Participate in incident investigations and drive continuous improvement to improve all around safety. Handle team expansion, train/mentor and manage drivers, ensuring skill development and safety competency. Evaluate new hires or internal additions to the team and determine additional needs for mentoring and instruction. Act as the primary point of contact for drivers, ensuring reliable service and timely resolutions regardless of the project they are operating. Maintain strong relationships with clients, Central Dispatch, Operations and all other internal teams to align operational needs with customer expectations. Log and track maintenance, inspections, and repairs in the Upkeep system. Approve and manage tickets, work orders, invoices, and consumable inventories. Maintain accurate documentation on equipment, jobs, and personnel. Collaborate nationally to align operations with company‑wide goals and initiatives. Requirements Proven success in operational leadership, including managing drivers or other direct reports. Strong knowledge of DOT regulations (weights, dimensions, documentation, HOS, DVIR's etc.), OSHA guidelines, and oilfield services safety standards. Ability to build out approved trucking routes for logistics in regions we are not familiar in operating. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to foster teamwork among many different personalities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other computer-based functions; experience with KPI's and goals, maintenance management, credit card use/reporting, invoicing, and payroll is an asset. Organizational skills and ability to manage your own time effectively and efficiently. 5–10 years of oilfield or related experience in tractor/trailer trucking with or without HAZMAT is an asset. Class A CDL with Hazmat endorsement is an asset. Ability to work flexible hours, including outside of regular schedules, to meet customer needs.
