Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) – Part-Time and/or PRN
Location: Hamilton Nursing and Rehab – Detroit, MI
Schedule: Part-Time and/or PRN

Hamilton Nursing and Rehab is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our rehabilitation team in Detroit, MI. This flexible opportunity is ideal for a skilled clinician who enjoys helping residents improve their functional abilities, independence, and quality of life through individualized, patient-centered care.

What You'll Do:

• Assist with implementing individualized occupational therapy treatment plans under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist

• Provide hands-on therapeutic interventions to improve residents' strength, coordination, mobility, and ability to perform daily activities

• Monitor resident progress and communicate changes or concerns to the Occupational Therapist and interdisciplinary care team

• Educate residents and caregivers on therapeutic techniques and strategies that promote continued progress and independence

• Maintain accurate documentation and follow all clinical, facility, and regulatory standards

• Collaborate with the rehabilitation and interdisciplinary teams to support positive resident outcomes

Qualifications:

• Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in the state of Michigan

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program

• Current BLS certification

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Compassionate, patient-focused approach to care

• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the rehabilitation team
