Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) Full Time: 7AM-3:30PM or 3PM-11:30PM, 4:2 schedule Full Time: 2 days 7AM-3:30PM, 2 days 3PM-11:30PM, 2 days off Part Time: 7AM-3:30PM, 2 days on, 4 days off Temporary: PM (3:00pm - 11:30pm), 4:2 Schedule $38-$41 per hour, based on experience LOTS of Opportunity in a Stable & Beautiful work environment. 401k with Employer Match. General Summary The LVN is responsible for the overall nursing care/service on their shift, including the accurate and timely administration of medications, treatments, documentation and emergency calls, as indicated. Principle Duties Assists the RN supervisor and /or supervises and oversees the direct care of the residents being provided by the CNA’s on their shift in order to maintain quality resident care The LVN will be responsible to assist the RN supervisor with contacting resident’s attending physicians for change of condition, new admission orders, discharge orders and all necessary changes in medication and treatment orders. Responsible for notifying resident family members/surrogate decision makers of changes in condition, changes in medication and treatment orders, obtaining informed consents, developing resident care plans, accurate and timely documentation of all physician, resident, family member/surrogate decision maker communication. Ability to respond quickly, calmly and professionally to medical emergencies. Knowledge of tube feedings, oxygen administration and related procedures, catheterizations, suctioning and dressing changes. Accurately carries out medication administration and treatment procedures. Assists with direct resident care, such as bathing, grooming, transferring, repositioning as needed. Willing to accept additional responsibilities in emergency situations to ensure quality resident care is maintained. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
