Project Controls SpecialistPower your future with Qualus in our Program Management department as a Project Controls Specialist. This position requires strong scheduling integration abilities of project team members and other departments. Competencies required involve strong communication skills, ability to influence (without authority), and relationship/team building.ResponsibilitiesPerform project support and work planning scheduling services for the System and Protection Department.Learns and uses written and/or historical knowledge procedures, processes, and workflows to develop reports that communicate the System Protection department's work plan near, mid, and long-term internally and externally.Maintain department's work plan and continue to integrate other departments, other data sources such as the Engineering Department's Project Status Report (PSR)Monitoring budgets, handling change management, running earned value analysis (EVA), and projecting cash flow.Tracking regulatory frameworks and evaluating environmental or supply chain risks before they derail project deliverySeeks inputs and changes affecting the work plan and ensures these are reviewed, accepted and then updates work plan appropriately.Monitors and communicates department's project specific tasks, inputs required, and durations needed of work plan Project Managers during Project Plan developmentDevelops process for collecting data related to department trends and provides input to continuous improvement ideasCreates dashboards and program reports for System Protection department managerReview communication of department's status and assists with the communication of this status with project managers, stakeholders, and management.Provides accurate and timely dissemination of information based on inputs developed and received.Provides a high level of customer service and fosters team building. Builds strong relationships with peers, stakeholders and management.Works with the project stakeholders to capture and document the business requirements of the department and desired end-state.Builds schedule templates specifically for System Protection's use (not Project Team templates).Utilizes staff integration of inputs required, durations of tasks, and resources required for specific tasks to be communicated to project teams.Minimum QualificationsMust have 5+ years of experience within project controls: scheduling, cost control, and risk/complianceMajor capital project experienceBachelors degree in related fieldMust be able to work in-person Hybrid schedule either in Woodlands, TX or New Orleans, LASpecific software experience using MS Project or P6 Primavera for scheduling and resource management and proficient in Excel.Benefits & CompensationQualus offers a competitive benefits package for eligible employees, which may include Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short- and Long-Term Disability coverage, Retirement Savings Plans (including employer matching where applicable), Flexible Spending and/or Health Spending Accounts, Employee Assistance Programs (EAP), Parental Leave, Paid Time Off, and Company Holidays.
