Lab Technician

Apex is seeking a Lab Technician to support the Research & Technology activities for a global Specialty Chemical company located near Aberdeen, NC.The ideal candidate will have a BS in the Life Sciences and 0-1 year of experience.

Summary:

Perform routine and semi-routine chemical and physical analyses on a limited variety of materials for the support of technical service, research, and production activities.

• Role is to perform routine sample testing via documented test procedures.
• Log-in and report routine customer sample results on a weekly basis, maintain sample information in database, and analysis reports.
• Provide support and assistance of customer activities as required for quality control.

Job Responsibilities:

• Test field samples
• Understanding of laboratory tests to be performed on process chemicals/fluids
• Adhere to the principles of the Quality System
• Record data in accurate and concise manner.
• Make laboratory preparations under supervision
• Help keep laboratory clean and all equipment in good working order
• Complete assigned work in a timely fashion
• Adhere to all lab safety guidelines and maintain a safe work environment

Education:

BS in Life Sciences with 0-1 year of experience is preferred
