Registered Nurse (RN) – Home Health Aide (HHA) Instructor
Professional Caregiver Academy
Victorville, California
Professional Caregiver Academy is seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to serve as an instructor for our upcoming Home Health Aide (HHA) Program.
Our HHA program is currently pending approval by the California Department of Public Health (CDPH), and we anticipate receiving approval this month. The selected candidate’s primary teaching assignment will begin following program approval.
Position: HHA Instructor – Registered Nurse
The HHA program consists of 40 hours of instruction:
- 20 hours of theory instruction
- 20 hours of clinical training
- Program duration: Approximately one week
- HHA sessions are scheduled one week after the completion of each 5-week CNA program
The instructor will provide high-quality theory and clinical instruction, supervise students during clinical training, evaluate student performance, maintain required instructional documentation, and support students as they prepare to provide safe and compassionate home health care.
Compensation
Instructor compensation is based on enrollment at $77 per enrolled student for the 40-hour HHA program.
Full Cohort Example:
15 students × $77 = $1,155 total compensation for the 40-hour program.
Compensation will be prorated based on actual cohort enrollment.
Qualifications
Applicants must:
- Hold a current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Have professional home health experience.
- Possess strong clinical, communication, and teaching skills.
- Demonstrate professionalism and a commitment to preparing future healthcare professionals.
- Meet all applicable instructor qualifications required for the HHA program upon CDPH approval.
Additional Teaching Opportunity
Although the primary assignment is as an HHA Instructor, the selected RN may also have opportunities to teach in Professional Caregiver Academy’s CDPH-approved CNA Program, if interested and appropriately qualified.
