OBHG OB/GYN Hospitalists are the in-house experts whose ability to handle any obstetric emergency dramatically improves patient safety and satisfaction.

This opportunity involves working collaboratively with local obstetricians to ensure that every pregnant woman who presents to the hospital is cared for by an experienced physician every time. Hospital Information

The Dolly Parton Birthing Unit at LeConte Medical Center is a highly trusted choice for expectant families, with eight out of ten Sevier County residents choosing to deliver there. This is a level 1 facility supporting approximately 600 births each year and offers comprehensive, around-the-clock care, including access to urology, anesthesia, general surgeons, and maternal-fetal medicine support. LeConte Medical Center is also a proud member of Covenant Health, the region's top-performing healthcare network, further reflecting its commitment to high-quality patient care.

Schedule

Typical schedule consist of 5 on/10 off with the ability to work as little as 5 shifts per month. Clinic M-F, 8a-5p, and on-call after hours and only on call Saturday and Sunday!

About the Position

Leconte is apart of our Maternal Health Access Solutions model. The goal of our MHAS programs is simple yet powerful: to ensure women have access to care close to home, particularly in areas where resources are limited or at risk of disappearing. MHAS tackles this by providing customized programs that help hospitals retain and expand their women's health services. By partnering with hospitals, MHAS works to create sustainable models that bring high-quality care to rural communities while using flexible block scheduling, allowing physicians to come in for dedicated periods without relocating.

Jackson-Madison County General Hospital is a 635-bed, not-for-profit surgical and acute care facility located between Nashville and Memphis. It serves 17 counties in West Tennessee. The hospital, which originally opened its doors in 1950, delivers more than 3,000 babies each year. It is home to 15 private labor, delivery, and recovery rooms; two operating suites for Cesarean sections; a 42-bed Mother-Baby unit; and a level III NICU.
