Architectural Project Manager - Residential, Education & Healthcare

Location : Manhattan, New York

Salary : $115,000 – $130,000

Highline is partnering with a globally recognised architecture and design practice to recruit a Project Manager for its New York studio. The firm is internationally known for delivering complex, large-scale projects across healthcare, residential, workplace, hospitality, education, and mixed-use sectors, combining design excellence with technical expertise and collaborative project leadership.

This opportunity is suited to an experienced architectural project manager looking to lead multidisciplinary teams on high-profile projects while working within a highly integrated global practice. The successful candidate will play a central role overseeing project delivery, client relationships, team leadership, and project performance across all phases of design and construction.

The Role

- Lead projects through all phases from early visioning and design through construction administration

- Manage client relationships and serve as a trusted advisor throughout the project lifecycle

- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams including architects, consultants, planners, contractors, and specialist designers

- Oversee project schedules, staffing, budgets, contracts, and financial performance

- Drive project quality, technical coordination, and delivery standards across multiple concurrent projects

- Support business development initiatives including fee proposals, client presentations, and contract negotiations

- Mentor and develop junior team members within a collaborative studio environment

- Contribute to projects focused on innovation, sustainability, and high-performance design solutions

- Collaborate with leadership teams across the wider global practice to leverage technical expertise and best practices

- Travel nationally for client meetings and project engagements as required

Requirements

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture

- 5+ years of architectural project management experience

- Proven experience leading multidisciplinary project teams through all project phases

- Strong client-facing, leadership, communication, and organizational skills

- Experience managing budgets, schedules, staffing plans, and consultant coordination

- Ability to review contracts, negotiate scope, and develop fee proposals

- Strong understanding of project delivery and construction administration

- Advanced proficiency in Revit, Bluebeam Revu, and Microsoft Office Suite

- Experience working across large-scale or technically complex projects is highly desirable

- LEED, WELL, and/or CPHD accreditation preferred

- Architectural licensure preferred

- Ability and willingness to travel across the United States for project and client engagements

- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
