DME Customer Service Rep

The ideal individual is adaptable, able to multitask, and thrives in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.Key Responsibilities:Greet and assist patients both in person and over the phone in a friendly and professional mannerHandle inbound and outbound calls regarding medical equipment questions and patient needsAssist patients in obtaining the correct medical equipment based on their medical needs and physician ordersDemonstrate proper use and setup of equipment such as CPAP machines, oxygen concentrators, wheelchairs, walkers, and diabetic shoes and supplies.Measure and fit patients for equipment, ensuring proper function and comfortAccurately enter physician orders and patient information into the system for timely order processingSchedule appointments and dispense equipment to patients once all documentation and criteria are metAssist with supply refills to maintain patient compliance with treatment plansManage inventory: order, receive, stock, and maintain merchandise for resaleQualifications:Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skillsAbility to adapt to changing situations and multitask effectivelyBasic computer proficiency and ability to learn new systemsKnowledge of or willingness to learn medical equipment and insurance documentation processesStrong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures and insurance guidelinesPhysical ability to sit, stand, kneel, bend, and lift up to 50 lbsMust be able to rotate on an after-hours emergency on-call schedule
