- Stop machines as needed to remove finished workpieces, change tooling, adjust setups, or reposition workpieces based on required machining sequences.
- Lift and move finished workpieces manually or with hoists and cranes, following safe material-handling practices.
- Measure dimensions of finished workpieces using precision measuring instruments, templates, and fixtures to verify conformance to engineering and quality specifications.
- Listen to machines during operation to identify unusual sounds such as dull cutting tools or excessive vibration and make appropriate adjustments to correct issues.
- Monitor control panel displays and compare readings to established specifications to detect malfunctions and take corrective action.

- Strong command of the English language, including spelling, vocabulary, rules of composition, and grammar, to read instructions and complete documentation.
- Ability to conduct tests and inspections of products or processes to evaluate quality or performance.
- Skill in identifying complex problems, reviewing related information, and developing and implementing effective options and solutions.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 6 to 9 months of on-the-job training or completion of a related vocational training program required.
- Experience operating CNC lathes, mills, and manual machines in a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with a variety of inspection gauges and precision measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, and templates.
- Exposure to manufacturing processes and production workflows.
- Prior use of SPC tools and techniques to monitor and improve process quality.
- Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with complex machinery and equipment.
- Ability to work independently on an overnight schedule and maintain productivity and attention to detail.
- High school diploma or GED preferred if not already required by prior training statements.
- Willingness to participate in additional vocational or technical training to expand machining skills.
You join a production environment that values precision, safety, and continuous improvement, giving you the opportunity to build and refine your technical machining skills. The consistent 3rd shift schedule supports predictable work hours, while structured training and on-the-job learning help you grow your expertise with CNC technology and inspection tools. You work in a culture that emphasizes quality, responsible equipment care, and adherence to safety standards, enabling you to take pride in producing highquality components that meet demanding specifications.
Work EnvironmentThis role is based in a manufacturing facility and operates on 3rd shift from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., Sunday through Wednesday. You work with CNC machines, manual machines, inspection gauges, and computer-controlled equipment within an assigned cell, which may include working in an enclosed booth surrounded by three walls, with booth size varying based on equipment and materials. The environment includes regular exposure to noise levels at or above 85 decibels, so hearing protection is required throughout the shift. You also experience regular exposure to dust particles and must wear a freshair helmet while completing certain tasks, ensuring proper maintenance and storage of the equipment. You may encounter weather-related elements, primarily temperature changes, depending on the work area. The role requires adherence to all safety protocols, use of appropriate personal protective equipment, and comfort working in an industrial setting with machinery, hoists, and cranes.
