Role Summary Leidos is seeking a driven and experienced Senior Software Engineer to support a high‑stakes, mission‑critical program. Sign‑on Bonus $25,000. Primary Responsibilities Design, develop, and enhance secure software applications and systems. Integrate new software into evolving operational environments. Analyze user needs to craft efficient and scalable solutions. Debug and optimize existing software for performance and reliability. Implement complex algorithms that meet rigorous technical standards. Create and maintain system documentation and technical reports. Collaborate in Agile Scrum teams to deliver rapid, high‑quality releases. Basic Qualifications 14+ years of software engineering experience on comparable programs. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline. TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph. Experience with common software development tools such as Git, Kira, Confluence, and other Atlassian products. Experience with the Linux command line. Recent experience with Java or a similar programming language. Basic understanding of container technologies such as Docker. Basic understanding of web development and APIs. Ability to troubleshoot and problem‑solve. Ability to learn new software and technologies related to back‑end or front‑end development. Knowledge Needed Experience with Spring Boot. Experience with JavaScript and ReactJS. Experience with Apache Kafka. Experience with Apache NiFi. Understanding of Docker/Docker Compose. Experience with build tools such as Maven. Experience with SQL databases. Pay Range $131,300.00 – $237,350.00.
