Health First Medical Group is seeking Per Diem Orthopedic Physicians to provide inpatient and orthopedic trauma coverage across the Space Coast. This is an excellent opportunity for physicians looking to supplement an existing practice, maintain scheduling flexibility, or enjoy a per diem model while working within an established health system. Opportunity Highlights Per Diem flexibility Level II Trauma Center experience Inpatient orthopedic and orthopedic trauma care High clinical and surgical volume Collaborative, multidisciplinary environment Beautiful Space Coast, Florida location Orthopedic Trauma Weekend Coverage Friday 5:00 PM Monday 6:00 AM No weekend clinic Approximately patients/day Approximately 6 surgical cases/day Complex orthopedic trauma and fracture management Inpatient consultations and postoperative care Trauma follow-up and coordination of ongoing orthopedic care Orthopedic Hospitalist 7-On / 7-Off Rotation Coverage at Palm Bay Hospital and Viera Hospital 24-hour coverage Approximately 12 hours onsite Approximately inpatient patients/month Approximately clinic patients/week Inpatient consultations, fracture management, perioperative and postoperative care Coordination of surgical and ongoing orthopedic care Why Health First?
