Elementary Bilingual Teacher

Empowerment Academy Charter School is seeking a dedicated and passionate Bilingual (Spanish) Teacher to support students in Kindergarten through 3rd grade within a push-in and pull-out instructional model. The ideal candidate will provide targeted language support, promote academic achievement, and differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of multilingual learners. This role requires close collaboration with classroom teachers to ensure equitable access to grade-level curriculum for bilingual and multilingual students. Base Salary SY27: $68,500 – $88,500 Additional stipends and bonuses available. Qualifications Candidates must hold a New Jersey Department of Education CE, CEAS, or Standard Certificate in Bilingual Education and be fluent in English and Spanish. Responsibilities Provide direct instruction to K–3 students in both push‑in (in‑class) and pull‑out (small group) settings. Deliver targeted English Language Development (ELD) and/or bilingual instruction aligned to grade‑level standards, the WIDACan Do Descriptors, and WIDA Standards. Support students in developing listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills in both English and Spanish. Differentiate instruction to meet diverse language proficiency levels and varied student learning needs. Utilize scaffolded instructional strategies to support comprehension of academic content and explicit vocabulary development. Benefits Charter schools are public schools.
