It comes from our belief that life is richer when we truly connect to the people and the world around us.The Opportunity:Four Seasons Hotel Silicon Valley is currently looking for an In Room Dining Order Taker.Reporting to the Food & Beverage Management team, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:Check in for assignments upon arrival each dayMeet with managers to discuss any pass onCoordinate and communicate with supplies are needed In Room Dining, to complete orders, using par stock list as a guideHave full knowledge of all hours of operation for In Room Dining and all dining outlets for the HotelHave full knowledge of restaurants and Room Service menus and be able to communicate details to hotel guestsAssist in the proper and timely completion of servers side work and closing duties, as assigned by the manager on dutyAssist in taking orders for amenities, prepare amenity packages, accurately charge amenities to correct department, document all amenity changes, and correctly file all informationAnswer the telephone and accurately record guest information and food and/or beverage orders according to established procedure, including noting food allergies and special attention ordersUp sell and suggest additional food and/or beverage items to compliment the order whenever possibleAccurately document orders on dish pick up list and ensure dish pick up standards are being met correctly.Communicate daily with staff in the morning and evening to discuss upcoming events or noteworthy information that impacts the department.Demonstrate knowledge of and competency in all aspects of department, delivery, order taking, and office systemsOversee and maintain Four Seasons In Room Dining Service StandardsMonitor areas for cleanliness and organizationEnsure carts are clean and in good repair at all times and communicate to managers when necessary repairs are in orderCommunicate effectively with staff from both the front and back of the houseOther duties as assignedQualifications:Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.Open schedule required; weekends, holidays, days and/or nightExperience working in Food & Beverage establishment in a hotel setting is preferred.Must provide proof of work authorization eligibility to be employed in the United States of AmericaWhat to Expect:Competitive WageWage - $27.31/hourBe part of a cohesive team with opportunities to build a successful career with global potentialMedical, dental, and vision insuranceHoliday, vacation, and sick pay401k participation with a company matching programComplimentary stays at Four Seasons worldwide (subject to availability)Free employee meals prepared by the culinary teamFour Seasons is an Equal Opportunity, Affirmative Action employer.
