Job Description

This role oversees mid-level construction projects with a focus on core and shell delivery. The Data Center Project Superintendent coordinates field activities, manages subcontractors, and ensures projects meet scope, schedule, and quality expectations within a commercial construction environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day field operations for construction projects, with a primary focus on core and shell work.
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors to ensure work aligns with project plans, specifications, and schedules.
• Support overall project management activities, including planning, sequencing, and monitoring construction progress.
• Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and field teams to resolve issues and maintain project momentum.
• Monitor quality and safety on site, ensuring all work meets required standards and complies with relevant regulations.
• Assist in tracking project milestones and reporting progress to internal stakeholders.
• Help manage project documentation related to field activities, including logs, updates, and status reports.

Essential Skills

• Proven experience in commercial construction, specifically within data center projects.
• Hands-on experience with core and shell construction for large-scale facilities.
• Demonstrated background in project management within a construction environment.
• Experience supervising and managing subcontractors on active job sites.
• Strong organizational and coordination skills to manage multiple field activities simultaneously.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project plans.
• Effective communication skills to work with project teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience in a superintendent role on commercial or data center projects.
• Exposure to both field supervision and project management responsibilities.
• Familiarity with standard construction management practices and processes.
• Ability to contribute to project planning and scheduling discussions.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to resolving site issues.

Work Environment

The superintendent works closely with field crews, subcontractors, and project management staff in a fast-paced environment focused on timely delivery of core and shell construction. The role involves regular on-site presence, coordination of multiple trades, and adherence to safety and quality standards typical of large-scale commercial construction.

This is a Contract position based out of Sioux Falls, SD.

The pay range for this position is $58.00 - $58.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Sioux Falls,SD.
