A captain at Troubadour Bread & Bistro, is responsible for providing exceptional service to guests in the style that is unique to the restaurant , responsible for knowledge of the seasonal dishes and being able to communicate with the guest on their preferences and questions, serving food and beverages in a fine-dining style, and ensuring a pleasant dining experience.

Key Responsibilities  

• Collaborate with the chefs to ensure smooth service and exceptional guest experiences.
• Greet and welcome guests with a warm, friendly and genuine demeanor, ensuring they feel comfortable and valued throughout their dining experience.
• Maintain an in-depth knowledge of the menu, including ingredients, sourcing, preparation methods, and wine pairings, to provide informed recommendations to guests.
• Engage with guests during their meal, checking in to ensure satisfaction and addressing any concerns or special requests.
• Work closely with fellow servers, kitchen staff, and directors to create a cohesive and efficient dining experience.
• Clear, wipe and reset tableware, napkins, flatware water and wine throughout service.

Qualifications

• Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with a sensitivity to detail 
• Two years experience in the food and beverage industry 
• Ability to receive feedback and aim for growth
• Wine knowledge is a plus
• Team player with a positive attitude
• Culinary or hospitality education is a plus
• Previous experience in a fine dining establishment is preferred industry
