PositionOverview The Executive Director serves as the chief executive officer of theAutism Society of Indiana. Thisleadermanagesalloperations,personnel,fundraising,andpublicpolicyinitiatives.Therole requires driving strategic growth while aligning with the Autism Society of Americaaffiliate network. The ideal candidate expands Medicaid waiver service lines, creates strong community connections, and spearheads statewide advocacy. KeyResponsibilities StrategicLeadership&Governance BoardCollaboration:PartnerwiththeBoardtoexecutetherollingmulti-yearstrategicplan. NetworkIntegration:Collaboratewithnationalaffiliatestodeployunifiedautismsupportmodels. ComplianceOversight:Guaranteeallprogramsfulfilllocal,state,andfederalregulatorystatutes. Operational&FinancialManagement FiscalAccountability:Directtheannualbudgetingprocess,revenueprojections,and financial audits. MedicaidServiceAdministration:OverseeRespiteandParticipantAssistance&Care (PAC) waiver services. PerformanceEvaluation:Revieworganizationalefficacytooptimizedailyworkflowsand data entry metrics. Advocacy&PublicRelations CoalitionEngagement:RepresentASIwithinthelegislativeIndianaDisabilityAlliance. MediaRepresentation:Actastheprimaryspokespersonforpressinquiriesand awareness campaigns. LegislativeLobbying:Advancestatepoliciesprotectinghomeandcommunity-based service (HCBS) funding. Fundraising&CommunityDevelopment DonorCultivation:Securecorporatesponsorships,foundationgrants,andindividual major gifts. EventStrategy:Provideexecutiveoversightforsignaturestatewidefundraisingand awareness events. TeamDevelopment&Culture StaffSupervision:Mentorexecutivestaff,areamanagers,anddirectcarepersonnel. TalentManagement:Overseeproactiverecruitment,training,andprofessional development programs. InclusiveCulture:Fosteraperson-centeredworkingenvironmentfocusedonempathy and high performance. Qualifications&Skills RequiredEducation&Experience DegreeRequirements:Bachelor’sdegreeinNonprofitManagement,Business,Social Work, or a related field (Master’s preferred). LeadershipTenure:Minimumof5–7yearsinaseniorexecutiverolewithinanon-profit or healthcare entity. DomainKnowledge:ExtensivefamiliaritywithAutismSpectrumDisorder(ASD)and developmental disability landscapes. SystemsFamiliarity:DeepunderstandingoftheIndianaMedicaidWaiversystemand HCBS frameworks. CoreCompetencies PublicRelations:Exceptionalinterpersonalcommunicationandpublicpresentationcapabilities. FinancialAcumen:Provencompetencyinmanagingoperationalbudgets.
