Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Rotating Days and Nights | 12-Hour Shifts (7:00–19:30 and 19:00–7:30) | Every other weekend and some holidays required | No call

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) setting across rotating day and night shifts
• Operate and manage the NextStage CVVH machine for continuous renal replacement therapy
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and telemetry, including identification of lethal arrhythmias and heart blocks
• Float to other units as needed based on patient census and staffing requirements
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to deliver high-acuity cardiovascular patient care

Required Qualifications

• Active Wisconsin RN license required
• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum of two years of acute care inpatient RN experience within the last three years in the CVICU specialty
• Demonstrated CVICU experience required
• Hands-on experience and knowledge of the NextStage CVVH machine required
• Must pass a telemetry examination prior to start (passing score of 80% or higher; 100% identification of lethal rhythms required; no more than one incorrect answer on 3rd degree heart block questions permitted)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a Cardiothoracic Surgery setting
• Experience in an Acuity Adaptable care area
