Job Description
The Packaging Technician is tasked with verifying line clearance of the packaging area before commencing operations, labeling individual and bulk finished products, and final packaging of products in boxes with instructions and labels. This role involves maintaining a clean and organized packaging and labeling area, completing documentation related to packaging and labeling, and assisting with various projects as assigned. Additionally, the technician is responsible for quarantining in-process materials based on inspection or test results and initiating solutions through designated channels.
Responsibilities

• Verify line clearance of packaging area prior to starting packaging operation.
• Label individual and bulk finished products.
• Final package finished products in associated boxes with instructions and labels.
• Complete documentation related to packaging and labeling.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of packaging and labeling area.
• Assist with various projects and other duties as assigned.
• Quarantine in-process materials based on inspection or test results.
• Initiate, recommend, or provide solutions through designated channels.

Essential Skills

• Experience in material handling, packaging, and labeling.
• Proficiency in label printing software.
• Understanding of the manufacturing and labeling process.
• Experience in GMP environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.

Work Environment
The position is based in Mahwah, NJ, operating on the first shift, Monday through Friday, from 7 am to 3:30 pm. The role is a part of the Final Packaging department and spans a three-month project. Physical demands include standing, walking, sitting, using hands, reaching, climbing stairs, and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
