​​​​​​ Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY)is adding a  Physician Assistant - Pediatric Emergency Medicine to the group at  NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi and North Central Bronx . Jacobi Medical Center is a 457-bed, Level I Trauma Center and North Central Bronx Hospital (NCB) has 213 licensed beds.  To this day, Jacobi and NCB remain respected leaders in emergency medicine, trauma surgery, burn care, pediatrics, primary care, and women’s health.  The hospital maintains a strong academic affiliation with  Albert Einstein College of Medicine to maintain its high healthcare delivery standards.

Opportunity Details:

• Obtain comprehensive medical histories and perform focused and complete physical examinations.
• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage pediatric patients presenting with acute medical, surgical, traumatic, and behavioral health conditions
• Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic and laboratory studies.
• Perform procedures within approved scope of practice and demonstrated competency.
• Procedural assistance during emergency interventions.
• Participate in emergency resuscitations and stabilization of critically ill or injured children.
• Reassess patients throughout their ED stay and modify treatment plans as clinically indicated.

Qualifications

• Current New York State registration as a Physician Assistant
• Current certification issued by the NCCPA
• NRP and PALS

Wages and Benefits include:

Annual Base Salary: $131,127* - $174,836*based on 40-hour work week and years of State Licensure.

The annual total value of compensation package is estimated at $144,239** and $192,319**,  which includes the baseline salary, 401(k) contribution and other factors as set forth below:

• 401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits):
  • Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
  • After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
