Job Details

Key Responsibilities and Duties

Install, inspect, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair electrical systems supporting slurry pumps, mixers, agitators, silos, tanks, and batching equipment.
Diagnose electrical problems involving motors, starters, contactors, relays, overloads, disconnects, breakers, sensors, switches, control wiring, and VFDs.
Test motors, circuits, wiring, and electrical components using multimeters, clamp meters, megohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment.
Wire and terminate motors, control panels, disconnects, junction boxes, sensors, and field-operated equipment.
Configure, test, troubleshoot, and replace VFDs and motor-control components.
Support electric-over-pneumatic batching and material-handling control systems.
Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, panel drawings, and equipment manuals.
Perform pre-deployment electrical inspections and functional testing before equipment leaves the yard.
Assist with field installation, startup, commissioning, and shutdown of temporary processing plants and pump systems.
Troubleshoot equipment failures under active jobsite conditions and restore operation safely.
Identify damaged wiring, loose terminations, grounding problems, overloaded circuits, failed motors, and defective control components.
Maintain electrical panels, cables, temporary-power components, connectors, and equipment grounding systems.
Coordinate with mechanics, welders, operators, contractors, and project leadership during equipment setup and repair.
Follow applicable electrical codes, lockout/tagout requirements, and customer-specific safety procedures.
Document repairs, tests, modifications, and recommended corrective actions.
Travel to customer locations and work extended hours when required by mobilizations or equipment outages.

Qualifications - Needed

High school diploma or GED; completion of an electrical apprenticeship or technical program is strongly preferred.
Minimum 3 years of industrial electrical maintenance, field-service, construction, or equipment-wiring experience.
Experience troubleshooting electric motors, motor controls, starters, relays, contactors, overloads, and control circuits.
Hands-on experience with VFDs and three-phase industrial power.
Ability to read and troubleshoot from electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
Working knowledge of lockout/tagout, grounding, overcurrent protection, and safe electrical-testing practices.
Experience supporting pumps, mixers, conveyors, batching systems, or other industrial processing equipment.
Ability to work in outdoor construction and industrial environments.
Ability to travel and support equipment startup, breakdowns, and project mobilization.
Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
California electrical certification, journeyman status, OSHA training, NFPA 70E training, and PLC experience should be confirmed as required or preferred.
