Asha Certified Speech Language Pathologist, PRN - Days

Join a dynamic healthcare team in the Pacific Northwest region, offering compassionate and comprehensive speech-language pathology services on a part-time, as-needed basis. This role involves conducting thorough initial assessments, including patient history, objective testing, and functional evaluations to develop individualized treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform detailed evaluations and establish evidence-based plans of care with clear goals.
  • Deliver patient-centered interventions for communication, speech, and swallowing disorders across pediatric to geriatric populations.
  • Educate patients, families, and staff, and lead individual or group therapy sessions.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes.
  • Collaborate effectively within an integrated care team, participating in committees and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Stay current with professional development, research, and regulatory compliance.

Education and Experience:

  • Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology.
  • Preferred two years of experience in both outpatient and inpatient settings.
  • Experience with a broad age range from pediatric to geriatric patients is advantageous.

Licenses and Certifications:

  • Active state license as a Speech Language Pathologist.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association or Clinical Fellow status under mentorship.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficiency in assessing and treating communication and swallowing disorders.
  • Strong communication skills with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Competent in using electronic health records and related software.

Physical Requirements: Frequent standing, walking, bending, and stooping; occasional lifting and carrying of light weights.
