Job Description

Take your clinical pharmacy career to the next level with a permanent opportunity at a respected acute care hospital in beautiful State College, Pennsylvania. This role offers the chance to build expertise across multiple high-acuity practice areas; including the Emergency Department, ICU, and Antimicrobial Stewardship; rather than being limited to a single unit. Relocation assistance is available, and pharmacists licensed outside Pennsylvania are encouraged to apply.

What You'll Do

Provide clinical pharmacy services in the Emergency Department and Intensive Care Unit
Review, verify, and enter medication orders while ensuring safe and appropriate therapy
Conduct medication profile reviews and pharmacotherapy monitoring
Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
Manage pharmacist-driven consults according to established protocols
Respond to critical patient care situations including stroke, sepsis, trauma, and cardiac arrest
Provide drug information and clinical recommendations to the healthcare team
Utilize Meditech for pharmacy documentation and workflow

Requirements

Active Pennsylvania Pharmacist license or ability to obtain before start
BS in Pharmacy or PharmD
PGY1 residency or at least 3 years of current clinical hospital pharmacy experience
Recent experience in acute care clinical pharmacy
Experience participating in multidisciplinary rounds and clinical interventions
Experience with Meditech is a plus
Strong communication and critical thinking skills
