A day in the life

Start of shift: You review system queues and prioritize tasks. Inbound freight arrives— you receive and count it carefully, then record items in the computer system so our stock picture is current.

Mid-morning: You sort and place products on racks, bins, and shelves following product codes and predetermined sequences. You update product maintenance locations to ensure anyone can find the right item fast.

Before lunch: It’s time for daily cycle counts. With RF scanner in hand, you verify quantities and resolve mismatches. You also review any freight claim discrepancies and help resolve them.

Afternoon: Customer orders drop into your queue. You pick from stock, build secure pallets, and move them to the packing station. When trucks arrive, you load and unload merchandise safely and efficiently, operating reach trucks and forklifts as a trained, certified material handler. Throughout, you drive company equipment professionally and follow all safety and sanitation standards.

Wrap-up: You process returns into inventory, tidy the warehouse with sweeping and trash removal, and confirm all tasks in the system. You leave the floor ready for the next shift’s success.

What you’ll do

• Locate, count, receive, store, stock, and ship warehouse merchandise.
• Assemble customer orders, place on pallets, and convey to the packing station.
• Receive and count incoming daily freight; accurately enter receipts into the computer system.
• Sort/store materials by predetermined sequence or product code on racks, bins, or shelves.
• Review and resolve discrepancies related to freight claims.
• Update product maintenance locations each day.
• Perform accurate daily cycle counts using an RF scanner.
• Inspect and process returns back into the warehouse.
• Review and respond to system queues quickly.
• Load and unload merchandise during receiving and shipping.
• Operate reach trucks and forklifts as a trained and certified material handler; drive company equipment safely at all times.
• Contribute to daily cleaning, sweeping, and trash removal to meet sanitation and safety codes.

What you bring

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of experience in a warehouse environment.
• Trained and certified to operate reach trucks and forklifts; strong material handling skills.
• Experience with cycle counts and RF scanners.
• Ability to read and interpret procedure manuals and work instructions.
• Professional communication with customers and coworkers.
• Math skills: add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
• Good physical health; able to work at a rapid pace to meet shipping and receiving deadlines.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Ability to frequently lift, push, or pull 75+ lbs on a repetitive basis.
• Familiar with the data works systems and able to input and retrieve data.

Compensation

Hourly Pay: $19.00
