Join a dynamic rehabilitation unit with a focus on patient recovery and wellness. Our unit is located in Englewood, CO, and is equipped to handle a range of rehabilitation needs.

Unit Overview

• Number of Beds: 27
• Staff Count: 43, including RNs, PCTs, nurse externs, social workers, and patient coordinators.
• Patient Ratios: 5:1
• Type of Equipment: iMobile on iPhones, gait belts, bed alarms, IV pumps, wound vacs, Hoyer lifts (occasional), Welch-Allyn vitals machines.
• EMR: Meditech

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

• Required:
  • Minimum of 1 year current Med/Surg or rehabilitation RN experience.
  • BLS certification.
• Preferred:
  • Experience in rehab nursing or orthopedic care.
  • Familiarity with neuro or trauma nursing.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Administering medications (mostly oral, some IV).
• Facilitating safe ambulation and toileting for patients.
• Conducting thorough and accurate charting.
• Performing central line dressing changes, catheter care, and wound care.
• Managing wound vacs and blood administration.
• Conducting neuro checks and stroke rehabilitation care.
• Monitoring vital signs and blood sugar levels.
• Utilizing telemetry as needed.
