Bike Patrol Officer

Pay Rate:  $19.47/hour
Schedule:  FT Rotating, 5 days per week (will include days, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays)

Summary
Provides visible security using a bicycle as the primary mode of patrol. Protects people and property, deters unwanted activity, and responds quickly to incidents across the site.

Key Duties

• Conduct regular bicycle patrols of parking areas, walkways, building exteriors, and perimeter.
• Maintain a professional security presence and report suspicious activity or safety hazards.
• Respond by bicycle to alarms and incidents; follow company and site procedures.
• Write clear incident and daily activity reports.
• Provide directions and basic assistance to employees and visitors.
• Operate bicycle safely and use required safety gear (helmet, lights, reflective gear).
• Follow all Securitas policies, post orders, and client instructions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Meets legal age and licensing requirements for security officers.
• Able to ride a bicycle for extended periods in various weather conditions.
• Pass required background checks.
• Good observation, communication, and basic computer/report‑writing skills.

Working Conditions

• Mostly outdoor work with regular bicycle patrols.
• Exposure to varying weather.
• Standing, walking, and riding for long periods

The Bike Patrol Officer maintains the security and safety of sites by conducting patrol services and Security Officer duties within a mobile operation.
