Planner / Scheduler - Early Project Development

Our client, a leading global oil & gas operator, is seeking a Planner / Scheduler – Early Project Development (FPSO & SURF) to join their team. As a Planner / Scheduler, you will be part of the Project Controls department supporting the Early-Stage Project Development Team (FPSO, SURF, and Offshore Projects). The ideal candidate will have strong analytical thinking, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently in ambiguous environments, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title:  Planner / Scheduler – Early Project Development (1-year contract)

Location:  Spring, TX

Pay Range: $75 - $85/hr

What’s the Job?

• Develop conceptual, early-stage schedules for FPSO, SURF, and offshore pipeline projects during pre-FID phases
• Build and analyze multiple execution scenarios to optimize project timelines and identify risks/opportunities
• Review and evaluate contractor schedules for logic, sequencing, constructability, and compliance
• Support contract bid evaluations and assess schedule impact of different contracting strategies
• Document schedule assumptions, risks, and deliverables for FID readiness and leadership decision-making

What’s Needed?

• Proven experience with offshore oil & gas projects, specifically FPSO and/or SURF
• Experience supporting early project phases (Concept, Pre-FEED, FEED / Pre-FID)
• Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work under uncertainty
• Ability to manage multiple projects and communicate complex scheduling scenarios clearly
