We’re searching for a friendly Dental Receptionist (Patient Care Coordinator) to make sure that dental patients’ appointments are properly booked or rescheduled based on their needs. The dental receptionist’s duties include welcoming/dismissing patients in a warm and friendly manner. Assists the patient in scheduling any procedures or follow-up visits and provides any necessary instructions to the patient, collects payments, and provides a receipt for payment to patients. Answers the telephone, schedules appointments, assists with patient finances, prints and mails statements, maintains patient records, and coordinates patient flow.

Maintains patient account information, routing x-rays to the doctor for review, managing recare and reactivation, miscellaneous correspondence and public relations duties. Responsible for accurate documentation of all patient communications in the chart and Practice Management system. Apply NOW!

Patient Care Coordinator Duties & Responsibilities:

• Welcoming and greeting patients into the office
• Scheduling and confirming appointments
• Assisting patients with filling out paperwork
• Getting the dental staff’s charts and daily routines ready
• Keeping track of recent treatments and procedures and updating patient data
• Setting up follow-up appointments and sending out phone reminders
• Verifies insurance for the next day and 2 days ahead for new patients
• Answering phones, photocopying, filing, and faxing are examples of common office duties
• Is responsible for filling the hygiene schedules and keeping them filled to assist in exceeding goals
• Makes calls and sends letters to reactivate patients

Patient Care Coordinator Requirements:

• GED or high school diploma
• Dental terminology is well-versed
• Dental practice management software expert (Dentrix)
• Working understanding of administrative procedures in general
• Telephone etiquette
• Outstanding organizational abilities
• Outstanding customer service abilities

Office Hours: Mon-Thur 8am-5pm
