Licensed Practical Nurse, Primary Care

ARMStaffing is looking for a Licensed Practical Nurse, Primary Care (Full-Time) in Seneca Falls, New York.

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule/Shift

Full-Time Monday-Friday. Shifts available: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, or 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM.

Job Description

The Lifecare Primary Care LPN will play a vital role in delivering quality patient care in a pediatric setting. You will be responsible for managing patient flow and supporting medical staff during office visits, ensuring that care is both efficient and effective.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient flow from registration to discharge to minimize wait times.
• Perform nursing assessments and document vital signs and other patient data in the EMR.
• Prepare patients for their office visits by obtaining relevant medical information.
• Assist healthcare providers with examinations and office-based procedures.
• Schedule visits and required procedures, ensuring prior authorizations are secured.
• Educate patients about their health conditions and care needs.
• Manage patient phone calls and clinical concerns, providing timely follow-up.
• Coordinate prescription refills and monitor laboratory results.
• Conduct clinical testing such as pulmonary function tests and EKGs.
• Recognize and respond to medical emergencies as per established protocols.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as an LPN in a physician practice setting.
• Pediatrics experience is required.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current New York State LPN license.
• BLS certification through AHA or RQI only.
