Role at a Glance

• Location: Dayton, TX 77535
• Schedule: 3rd shift (overnights)
• Compensation: $30–$32 per hour

A Night in the Role

When the line is humming at full speed, you’re the guardian of uptime. On a typical night, you’ll move from a sensor fault to a drive alarm, then pivot to a pneumatic leak—making sharp calls and getting the line back on beat. You’ll read schematics, trace signals to the PLC I/O, swap a motor, align a bearing, and log the work so the next shift picks up right where you left off. You keep tools tidy, hazards controlled, and production moving.

Core Responsibilities

• Triage, diagnose, and correct electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues on plant equipment.
• Isolate faults on PLC-driven machinery and control circuits (troubleshooting only; no programming required).
• Execute preventive maintenance to minimize unplanned downtime and boost reliability.
• Service motors, VFDs, sensors, and related control components.
• Fabricate or adapt parts using shop tools to complete effective repairs.
• Document work performed and communicate findings across shifts for continuity.
• Maintain a safe, orderly workspace and follow site safety practices.

What You Bring

• 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Strong electrical troubleshooting capability (required).
• Working knowledge of PLC-based equipment (no programming access), motors, drives, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
• Ability to interpret electrical and mechanical drawings and schematics.
• Mechanical skillset including bearings, alignment, and general repairs.
• Proficiency with hand/power tools and diagnostic instruments.
• Comfort working independently on the night shift.

Nice to Have

• Forklift experience.
• Basic computer skills for maintenance documentation and tracking.
• A problem-solver’s mindset—able to diagnose root causes, not just replace parts.
