Description
American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT/CRT) for a night shift position requiring Epic experience and at least 1 year of experience.
Details
- Respiratory/Neuro Diagnostics unit assignment
- Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts, either 0630-1900 or 1830-0700
- Weekend coverage required every other weekend
- Patient ratio of 1:4
- Epic EMR experience required
- No call-in requirements
- Lv3 NICU experience is a plus
Requirements
- RRT or CRT certification required
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of experience required
- Compact or LA license required at time of submission, if applicable
- First-time travelers accepted with 1+ years of experience
- Driver's license copy required for submission
- AHA certifications required
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include airway management, suctioning, intubation assist, extubation, and tracheostomy care
- Experience with nebulizer treatments (hand held, T-piece, trach collar) and oxygen therapy delivery methods required
- Ventilator management skills including BiPAP, CPAP, alarm troubleshooting, and weaning from mechanical ventilation
- May be assigned to an Emergency Team during facility emergency events with expectation to remain on-site or serve on relief team
- Must be willing to work 2 of 4 designated holiday periods annually (Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's)
- Orientation held 5 days a week
- Black scrub color required
- Two Manager/Supervisor references required prior to start (Charge RNs not accepted)
- Radius rule of 65 miles from facility applies; local candidates not accepted
- Candidates who previously worked as permanent staff or in-house agency contractors must be separated from the facility for 1 full year before returning as a traveler
- RTO must be disclosed on profile and discussed during interview to avoid offer rescindment
