Job Description:

At Regions the Bank Operations Customer Service Representative responds to customers inquiries or complaints regarding Bank Operations products or services.

Primary Responsibilities

• Determines best methods to resolve problems to ensure customer satisfaction and adherence to company policies
• Coordinates problem resolution with appropriate departments
• Informs customers of standard procedures or resolutions of problems
• Follows up either verbally or in writing to ensure customer satisfaction
• Works with either close supervision or under clearly defined procedures
• Provides advice and guidance to less experienced associates as needed
• Ensures compliance with risk management programs rules and regulations and cybersecurity practices; identifies opportunities for and supports process improvements; applies disciplined change management practices
• May make periodic calls to existing customers to determine satisfaction with the company products and services

This position requires the tracking of time and is eligible for overtime hours worked in excess of 40 per week under the Fair Labor Standards Act.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Two (2) years of customer service or related experience

Skills and Competencies

• Ability to interpret and ensure compliance with applicable rules regulations and industry guidance
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Basic computer skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel Word PowerPoint Outlook etc.)
• Strong verbal written communication and organizational skills
• Strong work ethic and self-motivation

Additional preferred skills and competencies

• Demonstrates basic math proficiency including the ability to:
  • Accurately calculate amounts using a calculator
  • Verify fees penalties interest or balance-related figures
  • Double-check calculations to prevent errors impacting customers
• Comfortable managing frequent customer interactions in a fastpaced environment.
• Strong attention to detail when resolving customer inquiries and documenting outcomes.
• Able to follow established procedures and policies consistently.
• Communicates clearly and professionally with customers and internal partners.
• Receptive to coaching feedback and close supervision.
• Reliable accountable and able to manage time effectively in a timetracked role .
• Maintains focus and accuracy while handling repetitive and detailoriented work.

This is not a remote position. Proximity to Hoover AL required.

Compensation Details

Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience skills knowledge contribution job location and most importantly performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.

The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.
