Certified Surg Tech - Travel Job

Jackson HealthPros is seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist to expertly assist physicians and nurses in the operating room during surgical procedures, ensuring the safety and well-being of patients by preparing the operating room, sterilizing equipment, and providing support to the surgical team.

Minimum Requirements:

• Current certification from a program accredited by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA)
• BLS Certification
• 2 years' experience as a certified OR tech / Surg Tech in a surgical environment
• For CVOR positions, 2 years' experience as a certified CVOR technologist in a cardiac surgical environment
• CST Certification
• Experience with orthopedic surgery including total joints
• Experience with ENT
• Experience with general surgery
• Experience with uro/gyn
• Experience with surgical identification and setup
• Experience with sterile technique and aseptic practice
• Experience with counts
• Experience with specimen handling
• Experience with surgical site preparation and draping
• Experience with medication handling on the sterile field
• Experience troubleshooting sterile field contamination
• Experience with fast room turnover
• Ability to work independently with minimal orientation

Assignment Details:

• Shift hours: 0700-1700
• Floating to endoscopy may be required.
• Late coverage and call bi-weekly.
