Production Maintenance TechnicianPosition Summary

We are seeking a skilled Production Maintenance Technician to support the maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and continuous improvement of high-speed manufacturing equipment in a fast-paced production environment. This role is responsible for minimizing downtime by performing preventative maintenance, responding to equipment failures, completing equipment adjustments and changeovers, and ensuring production equipment operates safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, solid electrical troubleshooting skills, and experience maintaining automated production equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Perform preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance on high-speed production equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to minimize downtime.
  • Maintain and repair production equipment including fillers, cappers, labelers, conveyors, pumps, motors, and related manufacturing machinery.
  • Diagnose equipment failures and perform timely repairs to support production goals.
  • Inspect, replace, and adjust bearings, gearboxes, belts, chains, valves, sensors, and other machine components.
  • Perform equipment setups, machine adjustments, and production line changeovers.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, mechanical drawings, and technical manuals.
  • Perform basic electrical troubleshooting involving motors, relays, contactors, sensors, and control circuits.
  • Assist with machine installations, equipment modifications, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support PLC troubleshooting by identifying controls-related issues and communicating findings with engineering or controls personnel.
  • Complete maintenance documentation and work orders accurately using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
  • Follow all company safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), OSHA regulations, and established maintenance practices.
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills with industrial production equipment.
  • Experience working with hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, motors, pumps, bearings, gearboxes, belts, chains, and power transmission systems.
  • Basic electrical troubleshooting experience with AC/DC motors, sensors, relays, contactors, and control circuits.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation.
  • Experience maintaining automated production, packaging, consumer products, food, beverage, pharmaceutical, or similar manufacturing equipment is preferred.
  • Welding, fabrication, machining, or basic PLC troubleshooting experience is a plus.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with production and engineering teams.
