Pricing Analyst

Richmond, Virginia Hybrid role requiring office presence 3 days a week as assigned by the team. Job Title: Pricing Analyst, Transpacific East Bound (TPEB) This role reports to the Regional Marketing Manager Transpacific East Bound (TPEB). The analyst evaluates data, analyzes, problem‑solves, and makes recommendations for front‑line execution of TPEB marketing and yield management strategies through pricing activity. Responsibilities include monitoring regional TPEB targets, evaluating customer performance, maintaining service contracts, and supporting yield management in the assigned region. Responsibilities Negotiate and maintain TPEB BCO service contracts Assist in administration of guideline rates in coordination with NA Marketing Management Produce, maintain, and analyze departmental reports and statistics Monitor and act to eliminate negative margin cargo Measure and take corrective action for the assigned region’s account performance, communicating actions to NA regional sales staff as necessary Direct regional sales teams in creating and executing promotional cargo opportunities to meet the business plan Address BL rating issues with relevant documentation teams in North America and Asia Assist customer service, documentation, and operations teams with interpretation of tariffs, service contracts, and rate agreements Provide operational support and facilitation for service recovery evaluation and approval, performing exception management to established SOPs Assist in route cost analysis and alternate route analysis to minimize cost and maximize vessel utilization Function Specific Skills Apply logical methods and analytical skills for optimal approaches, resolving complex issues Communicate and collaborate with all levels of internal management, staff, and external vendors Multi‑task and prioritize while remaining detail‑oriented Proficiency in MS Excel and Word, including advanced pivot tables and formulas Adaptability to Google Apps, including AppScript Active user or understanding of Gemini and NotebookLM Strong business acumen Required Minimum Years Experience 2+ container shipping industry experience and 2+ trade or pricing analyst experience. Required Minimum Education Bachelor’s degree preferred.
