Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) are preferred at hire and must be obtained within 6 months. One year of professional RN experience is required, with recent emergency department or critical care experience preferred. Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Epic is helpful. Recommended skills include strong organizational and leadership abilities, effective communication, and critical thinking. Familiarity with infection prevention and quality assurance protocols is beneficial.
