Description CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR WEEK NIGHT EVENINGS AND WEEKENDS POSITION SUMMARY: Deliver excellent customer service to all members, guests, and program participants. Responds to member and guest needs, promotes/sells memberships and programs as well as maintains cleanliness and organization of the Welcome Center and lobby area. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Welcome Center Staff
- Provides excellent service to members, guests, and program participants in the Y and on the phone, while contributing to member retention.
- Responds to the needs of prospective members by answering questions, giving tours, and selling memberships.
- Builds relationships with members; helps members connect with one another and the YMCA.
- Handles and resolves membership concerns and informs supervisor of unusual situations or unresolved issues.
- Applies all YMCA policies dealing with member services and has knowledge of program sessions, etc. Registers program participants and receives payment at the time of registration.
- Performs projects for the Welcome Center and overlaps in other departments as needed.
