Louisiana Licensed Psychiatric Consultant

To support a growing Collaborative Care (CoCM) program, the part-time contract Louisiana Licensed Psychiatric Consultant will provide evidence-based psychiatric consultation to Behavioral Health Care Managers and Primary Care Providers, guiding clinical standards and workflows while working remotely. Key responsibilities Provide systematic psychiatric consultation and treatment recommendations to BHCMs and PCPs, focusing on high-risk and complex patients Utilize clinical registry systems to track patient progress and support population health management initiatives Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to enhance the integration of behavioral health services within primary care settings Required qualifications MD or DO with an active, unrestricted Louisiana medical license Board Certified in Psychiatry (ABPN or equivalent) Minimum of 3+ years of clinical experience in integrated behavioral health or related fields Strong knowledge of evidence-based psychiatric medication management for common behavioral health conditions Experience utilizing measurement-based care tools and working within electronic health record systems
