Quality Assurance SpecialistAn automotive manufacturing company in Columbus, IN is hiring a Quality Assurance Specialist to their team. The Quality Technician will work alongside the quality, engineering, and operations teams to ensure company standards are maintained by tracking and maintaining reporting mechanisms. The position involves communication with suppliers, customers, and internal end users.Quality Assurance Specialist's Responsibilities:Investigate problematic issues relating to incoming and outgoing products using analytical and problem-solving skillsCommunicate proficiently with internal and external customersPrepare and maintain supplier scorecards and key performance indicators, including scrapManage the return of non-conforming materialHandle debits and credits adjustments for supplier chargebacksWork with internal departments for inventory adjustments and dispositionServe as an information source to the manager and other departmentsMaintain supplier and customer contactAudit production processes on a regular or occasional basisGenerate reports for management review using Excel or Microsoft Office productsPerform other related duties as assigned by managementSchedule: 1st ShiftMonday-Friday6:30am-3pmOvertime as neededQuality Technician's Benefits/ Pay:Up to $24/HR (depending upon experience)Medical, dental, and vision insurancePTO time401KAnd more!Qualifications:Required: Associate's degree in business or related field or 2+ years in QA or QC work experience equivalent.Knowledge of Quality Assurance terms, tools, and methodology in automotive manufacturing.Hands-on experience in key quality system tools — including core tools, control plans, PFMEA, and PPAP.Certifications in the automotive quality field.Familiarity with QS/TS/IATF automotive standards.
