Position Title: Custodian

*Reports To:
Director of Maintenance

*Position Summary:
Custodian is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment at Triton Corporation. This individual plays a vital role in supporting the daily operations of the school building by ensuring classrooms, restrooms, offices, hallways, and common areas are clean, sanitized, and secure.
*Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
-Clean and sanitize restrooms, classrooms and other school spaces as needed.
-Sweep, mop, vacuum carpets as needed.
-Collect and dispose of trash and recycling from classrooms and common areas.
-Clean windows, walls, whiteboards, and furniture as assigned.
-Restock paper products, soap, and other custodial supplies throughout the building.
-Assist with school events by setting up/taking down tables, chairs, and equipment.
-Report any damage, needed repairs, or safety concerns to the Head Custodian or Maintenance Director.
-General Custodial Work
-Collaborate with other custodians and school staff to support a positive school climate.
*Qualifications:
-High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
-Prior custodial or facilities maintenance experience is desirable.
-Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
-Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, bend, stoop, climb ladders, and perform physical labor.
-Reliable, responsible, and committed to maintaining a safe and clean environment for students and staff.
-Ability to pass a background check as required by Triton School Corporation.
