About Metamorphic Metamorphic is developing new approaches to intelligence by combining machine learning with large-scale experimental neuroscience, informed by the principles that make the brain efficient, flexible, and robust. We are building foundation models trained on rich, continuous neural data — a high-resolution model of the brain at a scale never before possible. Our founding team spans machine learning, neuroscience, and neurotechnology, with prior work including the MICrONS project, Neuropixels, and the Enigma project, as well as foundational scientific contributions in learning, neural computation, and generative modeling. About The Role We’re seeking Research Scientists to join our growing AI research team. You will push the boundaries of multimodal intelligence, write production-quality code, and help establish the benchmarks that will define this new era of intelligent systems. You will collaborate closely with researchers from diverse backgrounds — including computer vision, neuroscience, NLP, and robotics — to develop frontier foundation models for the brain. You’ll have substantial autonomy to shape foundational technical decisions on a small, high-impact team. You’ll Thrive In This Role If You Have a strong ownership mindset. $175,000 – $250,000 USD

Qualifications & Experience Ph.D. in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Computational Neuroscience, or a related field Publications at top-tier conferences such as CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, ICLR, ICML, NeurIPS Hands-on experience with at least two of the following topics: Video foundation models Diffusion and Autoregressive models for video generation Vision-Language-Action models 3D representations (e.g., Gaussian splatting, NeRFs) Strong first-principles thinking and ability to operate in ambiguous, research-heavy environments. Proficiency in ML frameworks (e.g., PyTorch) and experience building large-scale ML training and evaluation pipelines.
