Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit - Travel Registered Nurse - $2050 per week.

Shift: 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience.

• 3 months of travel experience is required.

• Experience with Epic is required.

• Trauma Level 2 experience is required.

• ADN completion required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Indiana license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >40 miles from facility to be submitted.

• Flu vaccination required after submission. Declinations not accepted.

• No current placement allowed at Program: SimpliFi Program - Deaconess Health.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: 2 years of strong Cardiac/Tele experience. Tele/12-lead EKG interpretation; initiate/titrate drips (antiarrhythmics, heparin, amio, etc.); PIV insertion; chest tube/indwelling drain management; CBI; stable drips (heparin, Lasix, Protonix); antidysrhythmic drips (Cardizem, Tikosyn dosing, amio); nephrostomy tubes.

Unit Details: High acuity Tele/M/S with a cardiac-heavy population including Afib with RVR, Afib, flutter, blocks, heart cath without interventions, CHF, COPD, sepsis, BH/CIWA, post ablations, and dialysis. Ratios: Days 1:4-5; NOCs 1:5-7; charge nurse rarely takes patients on days, but takes an assignment on NOC shift. May require precepting students and new hires.

Shift & Scheduling: Flexible contract hours: 36 per week; 48 upon request. Three weekends out of every six week schedule. Every other holiday.

Floating Requirements: First to float within skillset. May float to Deaconess Newburgh campus and potentially Deaconess Henderson campus. 2 HR notice given for cross-campus float. Mid-shift float within same campus; cross-campus mid-shift float is unlikely but possible.
