About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) Electrophysiology / Pacemaker Clinic for a 13-week contract position in Bozeman, Montana. The RN will support the management of patients with cardiac implantable electronic devices (CIEDs) , including pacemakers and implantable cardioverter-defibrillators (ICDs).

This specialized role requires hands-on cardiac device management, device interrogation and programming, remote monitoring, ECG/EKG interpretation, and arrhythmia management . The RN will collaborate with cardiology providers and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate diagnostic testing, procedures, follow-up care, and patient education.

Responsibilities

• Interrogate pacemakers, ICDs, and other cardiac implantable electronic devices while monitoring patient response and implementing programming changes according to provider orders.

• Manage remote cardiac device monitoring, troubleshoot device-related concerns, and maintain accurate device clinic databases and patient records.

• Perform and coordinate diagnostic cardiac testing, including ECG/EKGs, Holter monitors, event monitors, and Zio Patch application, removal, and data processing.

• Coordinate cardiac device procedures, follow-up appointments, MRI-related device management, and care involving surgical, anesthesia, radiology, and other interdisciplinary teams.

• Educate patients and families regarding pacemakers, ICDs, arrhythmia management, electrophysiology procedures, and ongoing cardiac device care while documenting services in Epic.

Requirements

• Active Montana Registered Nurse (RN) License Required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Required.

• Minimum 2 Years of Registered Nursing Experience Required.

• Current American Heart Association BLS/BCLS and ACLS Certifications Required.

• Current International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners (IBHRE) Certification Required.

• Experience Managing Pacemakers and ICDs Required, Including Device Interrogation, Remote Monitoring, ECG/EKG Interpretation, Arrhythmia Management, and Major Device Platforms Including Medtronic, Abbott, Boston Scientific, and Biotronik.

The Electrophysiology / Pacemaker Clinic RN will provide specialized cardiac device management and patient-centered nursing care while supporting safe and effective electrophysiology services.
