Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PACU position at an HCA Healthcare facility in Richmond, VA, requiring at least 2 years of PACU or critical care experience and active ACLS, PALS, and BLS certifications.

Details

• Located in the PACU unit on the first floor of a main hospital building in Richmond, VA
• 26-bed PACU unit with a staff of 17
• Day shift hours are 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Patient ratio is 2:1, with 1:1 ratio for pediatric patients
• Cares for high-acuity surgical recovery patients including neuro, vascular, kidney transplant, GYN oncology, general oncology, and reconstructive plastics cases
• Preferred experience with PACU recovery of kidney transplant and TAVR patients
• Uses standard recovery room equipment
• EMR system: Meditech

Requirements

• Active VA or compact RN license required
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS (AHA or ARC accepted; certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start)
• Minimum 2 years of PACU or critical care RN experience required
• US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
• One professional reference required (two required if licensed in Florida or Missouri)

Additional Information

• Provides post-anesthesia recovery care to high-acuity surgical patients across multiple specialties
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• 13-week travel contract
