Yard Driver

Pay : Starting at $18.00 an hour, more with experience. Schedule : Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM to completion This is your Opportunity to: Drive and operate a yard truck or shuttle within the company premises. Transport containers and trailers from one location to another. Prepare trucks and trailers for unloading, loading, and transport. Move equipment within the yard and doors. Load and unload demountable boxes as needed. Report the location of the trailer to the guard if necessary. Perform a Daily Vehicle Inspection Report and report any issues to the Operation Manager. Operate the yard tractor in a safe manner. Perform other related duties, special projects or assignments as required. Get Paid Daily. Complimentary health and wellness program. Job Requirements Qualifications: Prior experience operating heavy-duty trucks and tractors. Strong communication skills and ability to work with a team. Attention to detail and ability to follow directions. Ability to work outside regardless of weather conditions. Must comply with Havertys safety requirements. Ability to perform heavy lifting throughout shift. Team Player. Ability to pass criminal background check, MVR, lifting assessment, and drug test including testing for THC. Must be DOT certified (company paid), valid drivers license. Must complete and understand all company-sponsored safety programs. Communicate with managers and supervisors. Warehouse setting: must wear proper Havertys‑provided uniforms, steel‑toed work boots/shoes required, safety gear when applicable. Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM to completion Physical Demands: Must successfully complete a physical assessment to be considered for the position. You must have the ability to stand for extended periods, drive and operate yard trucks, transport containers and trailers, prepare trucks and trailers for unloading, loading, and transport, and move equipment within the yard and doors.
