Medical Laboratory Technician Mercy – Fort Smith, Arkansas Part‑time Education and Experience Requirements High school graduate or equivalent and completion of an official military medical laboratory procedures course of at least 50 weeks duration, and service as a Medical Laboratory Specialist (Laboratory Technician). OR high school diploma or equivalent with documentation of training appropriate for the testing performed prior to analyzing patient specimens. 1‑year acceptable clinical laboratory experience. Preferred Qualifications Associate degree in chemistry, biology, or another science‑related field that satisfies certification agency requirements. MLT (ASCP) certification or equivalent.
