Schedule: Full-Time, Onsite

Compensation: $65,000-$70,000 + discretionary year-end performance bonus

A long-established, employee-owned manufacturer with more than 180 years of experience in industrial equipment manufacturing is seeking an Inside Sales Specialist to join its team in Hauppauge, NY.

This organization is a recognized leader in industrial mixing and blending equipment, supporting customers across a diverse range of manufacturing and industrial processing applications.

The Inside Sales Specialist will play an important role in supporting domestic sales operations, managing customer relationships, responding to inquiries, and identifying new business opportunities within existing and prospective accounts.

This position is ideal for someone who combines strong customer relationship management skills with a technical understanding of industrial machinery and process equipment. The successful candidate will work closely with engineering, production, and sales teams to provide customers with effective solutions tailored to their operational needs.

Unlike traditional high-pressure sales positions, this opportunity emphasizes long-term customer relationships, technical product knowledge, and consultative sales support.

What You'll Do

• Respond to inbound customer inquiries through phone, email, and occasional in-person meetings
• Follow up with prospective customers to understand their equipment requirements and identify potential sales opportunities
• Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing customers through proactive communication and account follow-up
• Identify additional equipment needs, replacement opportunities, and potential new business within established accounts
• Support domestic sales activities involving industrial mixing, blending, and related process equipment
• Prepare and assemble customer quotations using established templates and pricing information
• Collaborate with engineering and production departments to coordinate technical information and customer requirements
• Communicate product information and technical details to customers clearly and professionally
• Maintain accurate, organized records of customer interactions, inquiries, quotations, and account activity
• Coordinate with internal team members to ensure customer inquiries and requests are addressed efficiently
• Provide additional sales and administrative support to team members as needed
• Participate in product training to develop a strong understanding of industrial equipment and its applications
• Occasionally travel to customer locations or meetings after completing the necessary product training

What You Bring

• Experience in inside sales, account management, sales support, or customer relationship management
• Previous experience in industrial machinery or equipment sales strongly preferred
• Technical understanding of industrial process equipment required
• Mechanical aptitude and the ability to understand technical equipment applications and customer requirements
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, particularly through phone and email correspondence
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple customer inquiries, quotations, and follow-up activities simultaneously
• Strong interpersonal skills and a professional, customer-focused approach
• Ability to work collaboratively with engineering, production, and sales personnel
• Dependable, trustworthy, and comfortable taking ownership of customer relationships
• Willingness to learn specialized industrial equipment and develop detailed product knowledge
• Ability to work onsite in Hauppauge, NY
