Senior Manager, Power Development

Job Title: Senior Manager, Power Development Work Place Flexibility: Hybrid Legal Entity: Entergy Services, LLC Job Summary: Responsible for a renewable generation and energy storage project development team that supports the corporation’s sustainability goals of reducing carbon emissions. Manage the expansion of the development pipeline through land acquisition; development asset purchases; greenfield project development activities; procurement of Owner’s Engineer and other project support services; negotiation of Engineering, Procurement, and Construction contracts; and providing oversight of all front‑end loading stages for utility‑scale renewables or portfolios of projects to assure an effective hand‑off to an oversight team for successful execution. This individual is a leader with demonstrated experience in project development, commercial acumen, and a strong advocate for the partnering process with key stakeholders, including internal and external support groups across Entergy and contractor partners. This individual is responsible for the leadership needs of the cross‑functional team, executing a development strategy, applying technology understanding, and building an effective relationship network with key internal and external individuals. Responsibilities Grow an effective project development team focused on delivering renewable generation and storage projects that enable the enterprise to meet sustainability commitments and resource needs. Understand the roles of the Utility and regulators in project development and viability. Manage the development of the project vision and execution philosophy, along with deliverables necessary to progress a project through a Stage Gate Project Lifecycle Process. Work closely with regulatory functions to support the requirement of receiving necessary certifications. Utilize Commercial Expertise to solidify commercial agreements and deliver successfully negotiated contracts with the partnership of key stakeholders. Fully understand contractual aspects of projects and create a contracting strategy that delivers superior economic performance while ensuring safety, high quality, and cost and schedule certainty. Support and/or lead contract negotiations and fulfill duties as contract manager, as needed. Manage risks to ensure they are identified and mitigated. Develop critical relationships with key stakeholders and project contributors. Provide clear, timely and accurate project status reports for management. Promote safe behavior in accordance with Company expectations and adherence to safety rules on the project. Support enterprise‑wide DIB initiatives across the project team. Mentor and develop individual team members. Minimum Requirements Education Bachelor’s in Business, Management, Finance, Engineering, or similar degree. Advanced degree preferred. Experience At least 10 years of experience in project development and management. Renewable generation project development experience preferred.
